At Montare we pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our customers on every project. Much of our business comes from recommendations from previous clients. But don’t listen to us, take their word for it.
I soon realized that our construction company lacked the relationships with the residential sub contractors and we simply didn’t have superintendents that understood the thousands of details that are required to design and construct a high end custom home. I initially thought I would interview three builders. After I met Jeremy Larson I soon realized there was an instant connection. After interviewing their Superintendent, Abel Tabuyo, I was convinced they were the right choice. I hired them without interviewing any other firms.
Jeremny and Abel are true builders. There are a lot of residential contractors who call themselves builders but they are really nothing more than construction managers. I hired Montare because they were true builders who understood the details of construction and could relate and work with a tough client who knew as much about their business as they did. I knew they would be sound from a technical perspective and I wasn’t wrong. They are one of the few builders who will provide a guaranteed maximum price. Jeremy and I worked hard to make sure all the scopes of work were well defined so as to minimize the number of allowances.
They also produced a computer generated CPM construction schedule that they adhered to.The project ultimately was built on schedule and under budget. The schedule was a very aggressive schedule and I pushed them hard on dates and they never faltered. When the project was completed, they had all the punch list items completed within 3 weeks. The quality of their subcontractors and the associated workmanship is some of the highest that I have seen in the business.
Their cost accounting and monthly billings tied out to the dollar against all their invoices submitted for payment. We used an AIA construction agreement which is an industry standard contract. I promised them prompt and timely answers to questions, decisions, material and color selections, and in return they built the entire project on schedule and under budget. What exceeded my expectations the most was their remarkable customer service and “can do” attitude. They always found a way to accomplish our objective, and they went out of their way to do the job right. No one reflects that company culture more than their Superintendent Abel Tabuyo. I have never met a construction professional that was so kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and hard working. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Abel.
Finally, The best reference I can say about Abel and Jeremy, is they are great guys; true gentlemen who I have developed a lasting friendship with. In my business the ultimate litmus test for a contractor is when a client will unequivocally hire us to do a second project. The icing on the cake is getting rehired without having to compete. I would absolutely rehire Montare as a sole source builder to do our next home or major remodel.”

Jeremy and Jim have an amazing ability to foresee potential complications way before they become issues and correcting them the first time. Our dream home was completed on time and under budget. I would and have recommended Montare Builders to anybody looking to build a prestigious custom home.”
As an engineer, I was especially interested in their knowledge of construction techniques and their ability to work with clients that still lived out of town and my wife was interested in their constant “hand holding” with respect to everything from carpet to cabinets to fixtures. They were always there to escort her everywhere and make sure she was treated well by everyone.
We were constructing a very complicated 13,000 square foot home made mostly of stone, glass and steel on a 7 acre lot that was also extremely complex and required almost 1,800 truck loads of dirt removed.
The results were amazing. Besides the home being perfect and meeting all our wishes, it was done under cost and on schedule. About three years ago, we decided to add a 3,600 square foot underground garage with a kitchen, bathroom, sitting and dining area as well as a car elevator and turntable on a part of the lot that angled straight down towards
a golf course.
In addition, it had to look like it was built while the house was built three years earlier including the same stone, windows and colors. The results were far beyond what could of been expected and again, within budget and schedule. During the course of the last five years, Montare also doubled the size of our “workout room” and did it in a way you couldn’t tell the structural addition was made. What is most impressive is that this relationship has continued during the complete building process and beyond. Both my wife and I couldn’t be happier with Jeremy and his team.”
He is involved in every conversation (big or small) and is exactly who you want on your side when problem solving is needed. He thinks outside the box and looks for ways to reduce costs without compromising design or quality. We had an amazing experience building our house with Montare and would do it all over again!”
